With Sanaë out of town, I went to one of my favorite places to spend a Saturday night: Sunny's bar in Redhook. I'm not a big bluegrass fan normally, but hearing the group jamming at Sunny's to a packed room always just fills me with energy. I counted 13 musicians at one point, crowding the tiny stage. The small room feels like a time capsule, a little vessel moving through the night to the power of the banjo, violin, harmonica, piano... Anyways, seeing as I was on my bike, I thought to make a detour by the waterfront before heading home. I started at Brooklyn Pier Park (Pier 6) and made my way north, under the Brooklyn Bridge, past Jane's Carousel. Time snuck by and 90 minutes later, I put the camera away at Pebble Beach and made my way home. I saw a couple funny things along the way. Most notably, the guys in the last shot were filming a music video. Pretty good backdrop for it...
